What is a silent book club?

At a silent book club, friends and strangers gather monthly to share what they're reading and settle in for an hour of sustained, silent reading. At the end, readers can socialize—or not! There is no assigned reading. Bring your own book—or pick one out at the library. All readers are welcome. Book club events are free.

The club schedule looks like this:

• 5–6 PM Arrive, say hello, and share what they've been reading
• 6–7 PM Quiet reading hour
• 7 PM Leave the library. Optional socializing elsewhere

Is there an age limit?

No way! We encourage everyone to join the club. Families with children, older people, younger people, teens. We want you to come read with us!
